Storied Heinz Hall, just blocks away, is the home of Pittsburgh's world-renowned symphony orchestra. A rich cultural district includes a number of theaters, such as the Pittsburgh Public Theatre and the Byham and Benedum theatres, among others. The elegant David L. Lawrence Convention Center is the first green convention center and is one of the world's largest green buildings.

Pittsburgh has long been known as the City of Champions - home to the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins as well as numerous university teams. Sports venues are a walk or T-ride away, including PPG Paints Arena, Heinz Field and PNC Park.

Warmer weather opens doors to a variety of concerts and food festivals. This includes the annual Three Rivers Arts Festival each June, featuring two weeks of arts and crafts booths, free concerts and food at Point State Park. July brings the Three Rivers Regatta to town with boating on the Monongahela, Allegheny and Ohio Rivers.

The winter season offers a Light-Up Night to usher in the holidays, culminating in First Night Pittsburgh - a family-oriented New Year's Eve festival held in venues throughout the downtown area.
