We deliver products and outstanding, personalized service to help our members realize their liquidity and housing-related goals, including vitalizing communities right in our home towns.
Member financial institutions take advantage of FHLBank Pittsburgh’s community products and initiatives to make a real difference in their own backyards.
Affordable Housing Program (AHP)
Grants and loans help our members partner with community developers and public agencies to create affordable housing in local communities. Each year, approximately 10 percent of net income is set aside to fund this important program.
First Front Door (FFD)
Members can open the door for first-time homebuyers through FFD. By contributing a minimum of $1,500 toward down payment and closing costs, homebuyers are eligible for a maximum FFD grant of $15,000.
Banking On Business (BOB)
Delivered through members, BOB funding helps eligible small businesses that lack sufficient equity or cash flow meet lending standards. On average, each BOB dollar we contribute leverages $6 in financial resources to small businesses in the region.
Community Lending Program (CLP)
This is a $2.6 billion revolving pool of flexible, low-rate advances with terms up to 30 years for which members do not have to compete for funds. Members use CLP funding to finance bridge, construction and permanent loans that support a variety of housing and economic development projects.
Blueprint Communities®
Since 2005, this unique program has created momentum for revitalizing older communities and neighborhoods. Among other attributes, this program helps build strong local leadership, develops local and regional planning skills and encourages coordinated investments in targeted communities by public and private funders.
